Further Prosthetics

Discover the world of advanced prosthetics with this hands-on, intensive course, which teaches students how to make and apply their own prosthetics. This course covers a range of skills to help make-up and hair artists build their knowledge and improve their career prospects within the industry.

Develop the technical skills to craft skin and make muscles and gruesome wounds, such as how to make a false nose out of silicone. During this two week course you’ll be tested on all prosthetics skills, from mould making to sculpting, application and colouring.

You’ll be taught by the best tutors in the industry in small tutor groups at The Iver Academy, based at Pinewood Studios. The combined professional portfolio of our tutors includes work on the prosthetics team for Hollywood blockbuster World War Z,  Game of Thrones, The Mummy  and Holby City to name but a few.

Entry requirements: Must be aged 18+ and pass an interview. No formal qualifications are required. All we ask is that you have a passion and drive to learn.

Course Payment: A 10% deposit is required to secure a place on any make-up course with the full balance due 6 weeks prior to the course start date. We have several options to help fund your make-up course including interest free payment plans, bursaries and loans.

Please note that if you are enrolling on our Advanced or Intermediate Make-up & Hair Artistry Certificate courses, then the Prosthetics course is already included as a module.
