Hair and make-up artist, Jane Maier, has worked extensively in all areas of the TV, theatre, film and advertising industry.

Her credits span well-known blockbusters like World War Z and The Theory of Everything, together with nationally loved TV dramas such as Mr Selfridge and My Family, and the creation of beauty products for brand Mistair UK in her position as product designer. Jane also works regularly as part of the News make-up teams for BskyB and the BBC.

Jane is especially skilled in period hair and make-up, creating hair and make-up styles from the 1940s, 50s and 60s for the London Film Academy, TV drama Foyle’s War and TV commercials, such as the recent campaigns for Anchor Butter and TUC biscuits featuring Jesse J.  Jane has taught airbrushing internationally in countries such as Kuwait and Jordan, and her expertise has also been used in photographic exhibitions and TV commercials, and for projects with artists such as Damien Hirst and Anish Kapoor, demonstrating the diverse career she has achieved within the professional industry.

Jane now comes to The Iver Academy as a tutor, where she will be lending her expertise to teaching our airbrushing, TV & film make-up courses.
