Louise Luxton

Makeup and Hair artist

Louise trained at Greasepaint Makeup School in 2000. On graduating she obtained a position at the National Theatre.

Louise advises all makeup and hair artists to do a stint in theatre as “Theatre work builds your speed and confidence and the thrill of working on a live show cannot be beaten.”

After 8 years in theatre, including work at The Royal Opera House, Louise made the move to television drama where she worked on numerous well known productions including Midsomer Murders, Hustle, Waking the Dead and ShakespeaRe-told. This experience then led her onto period TV Dramas such as Little Dorritt and Game of Thrones.

In more recent years Louise has worked on several feature films including Captain America, Bel Amie, Dark Shadows and Great Expectations. When Louise is not on set she comes to teach at The Iver Makeup Academy.
