Emily Mortimore

Emily Mortimore

I have had a love for film and TV since I was a kid, and once I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to be behind the scenes of a set, I was introduced to a whole new appreciation for it. I am always enthusiastic to learn from those around me and can bring skill and positivity to the table. I enjoy working with and meeting new people, and being part of a team. Training at The Iver Academy opened my eyes to all the different avenues within the industry. I acquired valuable skills there and have worked on some amazing Films, Tv shows and Theatre productions. From these experiences I have learnt about working within a tight time frame, paying attention to detail, catering to the team I’m in, and the importance of putting passion into all the work I produce. As a trainee, I am aware that we are often given the tasks of looking after wigs, cleaning equipment, organising fitting sheets etc, so being organised, concise and careful are very important traits to have. I have worked in many different team dynamics and would say I am calm, hard working, and fit into any environment appropriately. I am good at taking initiative, however I do know when to ask for help. I also pride myself in making a very good cup of tea.
