A Bafta and RTS award-winning make-up designer, Shaunna Harrison has endless enthusiasm for film, fashion & theatre make-up. A BBC-trained artist, she spent the first 18 years of her career working on prestigious BBC productions before branching out into freelance work.
Since then, Shaunna has lent her expertise to a wide variety of projects, from historical theatre productions to Hollywood blockbusters. She has acted as a jury member on the Bafta panel and as a member of the BBC Vision judging panel.
Shaunna’s creative specialism is in prosthetics and airbrushing techniques, and her skill has led her to work on some of the biggest special effects productions in recent years, including World War Z, starring Brad Pitt. As well as film & TV make-up design, Shaunna also actively consults with leading brands such as Mistair on HD make-up, airbrushing & prosthetic techniques and trends. She regularly conducts masterclasses for Skillset and the University of Arts, and can often be found demoing in front of a large audience at UMAE & IMATS. Shaunna is also a member of the British Skin Camouflage Association.
She has been passing on her wealth of experience to students since 1990, when she began to teach at Greasepaint School of Make-up until 2015. Now an Academic Consultant at The Iver Academy, Shaunna brings her invaluable insight and industry knowledge to our specialist airbrushing and prosthetics courses, teaching the highest industry standards and creative techniques.
